Orange Chicken from the China Garden
Being from the country, and living on a farm most of my life, I grew to love one thing that is not something that can be had very often. My aunt and (late) uncle raised pigs, and had a pig roast every year for our family reunion.
Nothing better than taking the freshly roasted meat, some chips, dips and other assorted snack foods, along with some ice cold bottles of beer straight out of a 3' X 8' feeding trough filled with ice.
I could live on pig roasts and Beer I think.
We have Pig roasts in England, there great on summer nights with lots of cold Larger
I have traveled almost all over the world, lived in half a dozen countries. I have been eating everything I've been offered, having no prejudices, always wanting to taste new. I like wining and dining. I like especially lot of Catalan and Greek kitchens.
But the best possible meal I could think of is from where I'm from, Finnish Lapland. Reindeer stew with lingonberries from own backyard, mushed potatoes and home made rye bred and beer, this all made by my mother. It is like heaven in earth to eat this.

I'd go for sausage loaf, mash and boiled cabbage and green beans, washed down with a nice rich dark ale, something like St. Peter's Winter Ale.
Or for something a bit classier, my signature dish, seared sirloin steak with a cold roast vegetable salad, drizzled with balsamic vinegar and washed down with Mateus Rose. :)
Mash, roast potatoes, beef, broccoli, carrots gravy and black pepper or Spaghetti Bolognese. Hmmm I'm feeling hungry now.
My favorite is a good pot roast of beef cooked with Potatoes, Carrots and Onions and with the roast beef gravy over the whole thing.
As they say Um Um Good !!!
