She also partial to my large prawns in a creamy garlic sauce, rice and mint peas.
She reckons i make "The best" omelettes and scrambled eggs for breaky. As long as she's happy.
A nice NY strip.. medium rare, smothered with fresh crab meat, freshly steamed asparagus with hollandaise sause... Baked potato and a nice glass of Burgundy wine.. Basically, Steak Oscar...

I have never been much of a cook in the past. I have always told Sally, i did not expect her to work, especially when she became a mother, so she did the cooking, i earned the $$$$.
Quite often i helped out in the kitchen with preperations, and some of it actually stuck with me. If i'm not too sure, i just ask for advise and cook to my hearts content. We haven't had food poisoning as yet, so it can't be all that bad.
Something rather plain and simple when I can get the right sausage for it, toad-in-the-hole.
Time to reward you geeks. After your favorite meal, try this. Recipe is my own, so it might be a bit subjective opinion when I say this is heavenly good. But it really is. And so simple and fast to do anybody can make it.
Lazy man's chocolate cake:
Mix first these well:
In another bowl, mix these well:
- 0.4 litre (= 4 decilitre, 14 fluid ounces) white sugar
- 0.5 litre (= 5 decilitre, 17 fluid ounces) fine wheat flour
- half a teaspoon salt
- one teaspoon baking soda
Now mix the content of both bowls together, very well. Put the mix in baking tin (you understand? I'm not sure what you call it in English...). Bake it 45 minutes in 175°C (350°F).
- 0.2 litre (= 2 decilitre, 7 fluid ounces) sour cream
- 2 big eggs
- 150 gram (= 5.5 ounces) melted, cooled butter
When the cake is in the owen, take 200 grams (= 7 ounces) dark chocolate in small pieces. Must not be too small, a bit over centimeter (= half an inch) squares.
Take the cake from owen. Cover the baking tin with a big plate, turn it upside down so the the cake falls to the plate. Put the empty tin away, cover the cake with chocklad squares. The heat of the cake melts the choklad so it gets a nice frosting.
Fast to do, easy, really good. Try it!
