Windows 7: flash drive

Is it possible to install windows 7 on a flash drive? and if it is would it be faster
than say a harddrive or ssd? i'm only asking cause i copyed my Windows 7 install disk on to a flash drive and now i can install Windows 7 in about 8 to 10 mins. so it got me thinging maybe it can be done and maybe it would be faster or just as fast as a ssd for less money....

I don't think you can install it ON a flash drive, but you can install it FROM one.
