Favorite Computer Brand?

What is your favorite computer brand, from out of these types...

Apple
Asus
Acer
Dell
Lenovo
Sony
Toshiba
HP
IBM
MSI

NOTE: This is only used for school purposes. To make it simpler, I am doing statistics in IT Class (which is quite weird). So I chose favorite computer brands. This is NOT for stuff selling in ad for newspapers or stuff like that.

I have a Toshiba laptop and I am pleased with it, and I have nothing against Toshiba. I have to go with Asus since I feel the quality of their product is better. (But is more expensive at times)

Whoops, forgot Gateway. I don't think any users has a Gateway at all. If there is one, apologies for this.

My favourite brand is the kind that I build myself.

Those OEM all make terrible computers.

Before I started building my own I had pcs built to my own spec by a couple of British companies, notably DinoPC.
When I priced up the parts I'd chosen at retail prices I found they hadn't charged much for building it and setting it up etc and I got a warranty. Well worth it and there are a number of companies that will do this.
I think it was about £60 for a £900 build so, for the warranty and peace of mind, it's almost not worth building your own.
Mind you I enjoyed building my own and I glow every time I switch it on

When I purchased my HP (pre windows 7) computer my only concern was hardware reliability, getting the most hardware options available for a reasonable price and to be future upgradable (hardware & software). Since purchase I have upgraded both hardware and OS thanks to the tireless efforts of the admins and members here who collectively created the massive "Tutorial section" and offer help to those that need it.

As a brand I always prefered Dell, but now that I can build my own, I will never go back to brands again.

That would be hard to nail down, since I've had a Packard Bell, A Gateway, A Dell (It's been good....so far)...and amazingly, they've all been good PC's. (Yes, even the Packaged Hell...everyone says I got REAL lucky on that one)

I disagree. They just aren't ideal for the elitists, and hardcore computer enthusiasts. I support tons of OEM computers from Dell and HP at work. I have used Dell Latitude desktops for nearly 10 straight years, and have loved 'em.
