Light off and on rain is here and freezing. Went out and started the van between rain to deice it.

Keep the doors operable and windshield /rear window deiced at least. Ever try to deice a half inch of ice at one time?

Me either and don't want to try. LOL

Today (it is 8PM at this writing actually) I am waiting for what the US National Weather Service is predicting to be the worst blizzard since 1912. We have had light rain all day today. Tomorrow morning we could receive up to 1" of ice and then 20" of snow. Following that the temp is expected to fall to -10F. Wind chill index to -25F. If wet snow and ice collect on the trees and power lines we could be without power for days just like '07 and '08.

Here is hoping for the best ... while preparing for the worst!

I wish you luck in avoiding a power outage, Robert.....hope you have blankets and batteries and such though, just in case! I just looked at our weather, and it's not saying ice here, but 15-30 inches of snow over Tuesday and Wednesday.

You all must be a hardy bunch. Born and raised in the Bay Area, and in your weather, parts of me would fall off. And I'm fond of all my parts

Your south of I-44 I beleive so more ice is expected. Bummer.

Most of our ice is over.
Sleeting now and changing to snow. 16-20 inches possible on this side of St. Louis.
    35mph winds expected later today.
White out conditions through Wednesday morning at least.

Stay in touch Iseeu if possible.

Good luck to both of us we may need it.

    Congratulations to you!

Did you mean "passed" or "passed-out"?

Trust me ... without 'protective clothing' parts of me would do likewise! Shorts, sandals, and t-shirts just won't do at times like this!

    Stay warm!
