Thinking a bit more about it, it seems a bit sad to me. Perhaps we should all be a little more tolerant?

    Mitch,
I totally agree with you about all of us becoming a little more tolerant!

How about this then. Lets say we ask Admin if he would be prepared to give "Love Windows 7" one last chance. If at least 5 regular contributors here say "Yes" then we ask Admin. If one member says "No" then we don't ask? Lets face it. I know he (LW7) broke the rules but it was quite mild compared to some others who have been banned! We might just help someone over a difficult period in their lives. He is 27 but seems that much younger to me. Perhaps I am getting soft in my old age

    Mitch,
Before doing this we need to know why he was banned to begin with?
Was it because he wanted to change his name too many times and logged in under a false names or something else?
Lately he has been playing games trying to get back in here and I not into playing games. He needed to apologize to John and ask for a second chance. Not the way he has been going about it in the latest attempts.

I personnally feel Carl has learning difficulties , He may not understand that what he is doing is wrong , He may or may not be getting the guidance/treatment He requires , who are we to judge? I say give him one more chance if He blows it, He blows it for good

I agree with being tolerant - to an extent. I also agree with Kathryn that there could be some kind of disability involved.

That said, this is John's forum and he makes the calls. It is hard to enforce the rules without creating dissent if someone is allowed to skate for this reason and another for that reason. Pretty soon, there is no reason to have rules.

My heart agrees with Kathryn; but my head tells me this is not a therapy forum. The standards here are high and they are enforced - across the board and fairly as far as I can tell.

I'm finding I agree with everyone to a large extent. No we are not a therapy Forum but then are we not all therapists in one way or another? I often have a bit of a stressful day. I help all sorts of people with their computer problems some of who don't seem to want things to go right but that's no excuse for me to give up with them. In fact it makes me try harder as often they need help and don't know it. So I come onto the Chillout Room to do just that "Chill Out". Carl may be the same but we already have one sort of "No" so I guess that puts an end to it!

Should be let everybody back in that we ban for piracy? that's what he was originally banned for before sneaking back in with the LW7 and other (7-8) accounts!!!

It's just not going to happen.
