Sometimes it's really frustrating when people in customer service decide they are powerless in front of computers.

We went earlier today to have a fast lunch in McDonald's when shortly in town for shopping. I like milk a lot, I drink it often with certain types of food. I noticed they had milk, so no problems. Wrong!

Angie ordered a salad menu, me the Big Mac menu. "What would you like to drink?", asks the young girl serving us. "A mineral water" says Angie, while I tell the girl I would like to have a milk (which they have in 25 centiliter / 8.8 fluid ounce plastic bottles).

McD: "You cant have milk. A soda or mineral water?"
    Me: "Why? You have milk?"
McD: "Yes, but you can replace soda with milk only in children's Happy Meal."
Me: "I do not want a Happy Meal. I want a Big Mac meal, milk instead of soda."
McD: "It's not possible. The cash register does not allow me to do that."
Me: "I really do not want to argue. OK, forget the Big Mac menu. Give me a Big Mac burger, normal fries and a milk."
McD: "It's not possible, sir. The cash register does not know the price for a milk alone."
Me: "That's not true. I can see the price on the price list on the wall."
McD: "That's only the price of additional milk if you order a Happy Meal."

We went to Burger King, other side of the street. I had a Double Whopper meal with milk.

It's actually not the employees fault. Their registers are set up to just press preprogramed keys for the various items. It's McD or the franchisee that is at fault for not putting the choice there. A Guy

Still... I would expect the staff to remember at least some of the prices of items

The price is registered in cash register. They just do not sell the milk if you are not ordering a Happy Meal.

They probably have just a key for Happy Meal + Milk, rather than just the Milk key...I could be wrong. A Guy

I think that's a big up for Burger King, which I prefer anyway:)
I had a great time with some UK computer retailers today. At the beginning of this week my PSU failed. This is a total bummer. I built the pc in October 2009 so it's less than a year and half old!
Anyway my Be Quiet Dark Power Pro 850 watt psu had died.
I found the manual; and learned it had a 3 year warranty from Be Quiet but I required the receipt plus the original packaging. I can find neither. Receipts and boxes for everything else in the build but not the psu. typical.
I had used two main retailers for the build-Overclocker.co.uk and Scan. I rang them and they both looked back on my orders and told me that I had not got it from them.
I tried a couple of other's I'd used in the past. Negative.
Lastly I rang CCLonline.co.uk, a company I was aware of but didn't think I'd ever used, and YES
I explained to the guy what the problem was plus no receipt or packaging and he said-no problem, put it in a box with some bubble wrap and we will RMA it to Germany for you
So I reckon that's a big up for CCLonline. Some companies would have left me making international calls to Be quiet in Germany I'm sure.

Today, my 2 years old niece will come to my house with her mother (my older sister) to stay for my little sister's sweet 15 (March. 6th)

She's on the stage of her life where she can't see any decoration that's near her.. because she will take it and throw it away (or worst, eat it) and i have WAY too much glass decoration in my house (glass sculptures, glass tables, and so on) i guess it's time to hide them and put them in a really BIG box with bubble wrap really far away from my niece's little evil hands
