Just checking in from my phone. All moved, just waiting on internet to be transferred to the new address.
Thanks for the birthday wishes.
Be back asap.
Looks like i'll be stuck in camp all day due to too much rain.
The access road to the mine, 35k's, is flooded.
Nothing to do but read books, watch movies, etc.
Hello Hopalong.. AR.. didn't fare as well.. a small town was hit by a tornado at 6:30 am..in the northwestern part of the state.. (Cincinatti) more toward you.. then traveled on to do damage in your state.. as I was eating breakfast yesterday... learned when I returned home for lunch , 3 were killed by the storm.. very bad.. I'm in the very southern area of my state however.. all is well down here.. however we did get lightening and terrible black clouds about 4:30 pm..winds.. we were ready to get across the street to the Main bank and down in the basement.. 3 of us were in the small motor bank....
we count ourselves blessed today... we've suffered 3 huge tornadoes over the past years beginning with 1949 Jan 3.
So glad you're safe !!!

We got hit in Rolla ,Mo south of St. Louis, then through St. Louis on the south side. 20 houses or so in St. Louis totaled.
Metro St. Louis 3 minor injuries from flying glass. They had one death at least south of St. Louis.
The closest tornado to me was about 10 miles north and 20mi. south of me- except the one that popped up on radar about 2 miles away but never touched down.
Same storms from Ark. they just moved NNW to visit us.
Mike
Carl thanks so much..
I saw where you DID get to ride Mae Lyne's bike.. I'm glad for you.. her bike needed the use also. We too had those high temps you mentioned for yesterday.. was 73º... then in a very short time we were back down to 62º.. no wonder there were such storms... end of Dec.. it's supposed to be winter here.. Monday our low was a huge.. lol ...16º.. just 4 days later those big highs yesterday.
Happy New Years 2011.. to you all.. hope your DAD enjoyed Christmas and a great New year.:)
Mike I thought it was the same storm .. let's hope no more are in this area the rest of 2011...
Glad you're safe as well. I'm always so concerned when storms are in this region of the USA.. have so many friends.. in MO.. OK..TX..LA. here . We were truly blessed to not have bad storms hit us.:)
Mike, I am surely glad you are safe and suffered no damage. I am sorry for the people who got hit; but I am glad you were not among them.
Thank you, M'Lady. Dad and I had a good Christmas as did Mae Lyne spending it with her kids and grandson. Happy New Year to you!!!
