Ohh and before you ask, since my family is from Europe we celebrate on the 24th.
Sorry, I have to ask. What does Europe and the 24th have to do with it?

As i was expecting nothing, got a nice surprise. My son Santa got me a new Leatherman "Wave" and Sally Santa got me a "Flip Mino HD" pocket camcorder thingy.
Sally got the new computer i Santa built her, which just needs to have the OS put on it, followed by software ofcourse.

This year was really about our new grandson and having family around us. Hopefully in the not so distant future we will get to see our 12yr old grandaughter too. (long story )

It is easy to get sucked into the material aspect of the holiday, isn't it?

I'm not immune to it, either....... but being that I am three years removed from a ventilator in a hospital doing my breathing for me, I can at least be grateful for another chance to try and be a better guy for another year.

Don't feel bad, Eric. My post was about what i got for Christmas and not about the friendship and love, either. I thought about it, but was too excited to mention it.
After all, what is Christmas without family & friends. It is about caring and sharing with those we love and bring a little happiness in the world.

Oh yes, and i'm still excited about the unexpected pressies from Santa.
