They are really nice when you replace the HDD for a SSD.

Here is an SSD that would go nicely with a netbook. Just switch it with the HDD. Newegg.com - OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD2-2VTXE120G 2.5" 120GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Ask linnemeyerhere as he is smarter and up to date on these items. Just PM him or get on his good side.

The SSD is something you have to install. They are very fast and right now they reasonably priced.
Check out the threads on SSD's in the search box.

Dennis thanks bunches.. wouldn't making those changes void the warranty on the NEXTbook ?
This thing is very nifty.. it's already working with my Wi-Fi...I just need to set up my hotmail to get it going on it also...then I'll be able to add photos to it. along with books.and much more.. videos.. /movies../ has an extra card to be used as well.
When I get some extra time I'll try to share the specs. as much about it as I know now.,, there's a lot more to know.

whs thanks for the link.. I am concerned that if I make changes to it .. I'll void the warranty. Just wondering about it.:)
What I have is more like a tablet.. or one of the e-readers with a larger screen ..more freedom to add things of my own.. I'm also hoping later I can have Instant messenger and phone service on it.. if i recall correctly.. I can add .. update it also.. I could be wrong on some of this.

ps.... this is much like Samsungs' Galaxy /tablet.. but with a smaller screen and easier to navigate.

Yeah, maybe. But opening the disk bay is usually not noticable. And should you ever have to send it in, you can always put the old HDD back in. The problem with the SSDs is price - especially for net- and notebooks because you need a bigger model. In a desktop you can always offload the user data to the HDD, but in a net-/ notebook you have only one disk which has to be big enough for the OS and the user data.
