May I ask a Vista question here?

My friend has a laptop with Vista Basic on it and I want to help her out because maybe by helping her it will spark something that could hopefully lead to marriage. She can't register on this forum or the Vista forum. Should I just register my name on both and ask?

i guess what I am worried about is having two accounts, 1 here and the other on the Vista version

No, that is perfectly fine for you to be registered both here and at our sister forum as well. You'll find that a large number of us are registered at both.

Why can't she register on either forum? What is preventing her from doing so?

You're welcome.

Although there are many similarities with Vista and Windows 7, there are also many differences as well and you will get a better response on the appropriate forum.

New to the neighborhood and a moderately advanced user. Looking for some concrete advice (vs hatemail) on the future of Vista and Windows 7. I'm one of the rare users that has never had a problem with Vista. It took an act of God for me to buy an OEM Vista instead of an XP machine. Starts fast,...

Question: Domains in 7 and even Vista
Hello, I am at a place where we use a CFS domain but also login to this computer itself. In XP, there was a drop down menu to choose between CFS and this local computer. Is there a way to get this or something similar in Windows Vista and most importantly Windows 7? Thanks in advance.
