V 2010 Any dates and channels for Season 2 UK

    Hi there
Unlike Stargate Universe which I gave up half way through I Loved the revamp of the original V now called V 2010 which has been airing on UK Satellite TV Channel One.

I can't wait for series 2 but it seems the channel that broadcast the first season (Channel One) is closing down in January.

Will the SCI FY channel broadcast the next season or will I have to get it from the US via "alternate means".

I'm really enjoying this series -- I enjoyed the original as well.

I also enjoyed Stargate and Stargate Atlantis but found Stargate Universe too depressing and boring for words -- it's just a "Soap" held on a dark sombre set without any real storyline or themes.

    Cheers

Seems to me, I just saw an ad that places the season premier on Jan 14.

The first episode of Season 2 already aired on the 4th of January on ABC here in the states. Not sure when it plays in the U.K.

That's probably why they hanged their name from Sci-Fi to SyFy channel

Are you trying to tell me that people actually watch the phony "wrestling" **** ???

Did you ever hear why they changed their name? At first I thought it was because they were going to show other things besides sci-fi, but the programming has not changed.

    Hi there

I think the name change is perhaps people want to change Standard English into a Mix of SMS/TEXT-ese and Orwellian "Newspeak"

For example U for YOU, NITE for night, L8 for late etc. SyFy is nearer the phoenetic pronounciation than SCI -FI -- however I think I still prefer Standard English.

Of Course with things tlike Twitter who under the age of around 30 will be able to construct a speech of longer than 140 words anyway -- or is it letters --I never use twitter so I'v'e no idea.

Anyway I do like the show and re-iterate I found SGU absolutely HORRIBLE, depressing, wooden etc etc --in fact everything a decent piece of Science Fiction SHOULD NOT HAVE.

It was amazing how bad it actually was considering how successful the original Stargate and it's successor Startgate Atlantis were.

    Cheers
