Hi, Fluffy, I'm very sorry about your loss. We all know (or hope) we will outlive our pets but, anytime we lose one, it is never easy. The cat in my avatar was at the vet's all day today after he received a wound from a roaming animal. Prognosis is good and he's home now, resting. I am very happy about that and your post is indicative of the pain and sorrow I would feel should the prognosis not have been what it turned out to be.
My thoughts are with you and your wonderful family - thank you for sharing. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Toshiba L355D OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 CPU Core2 Duo Motherboard Intel Memory 4 GB Graphics Card GM965 on-board Sound Card RealTek on-board Monitor(s) Displays 19"+17"(laptop) Screen Resolution 1440x900 (x 2) PSU N/A Case N/A Cooling N/A Hard Drives 500GB Ext. 200GB Internal |

You've touched a nerve with me Fluffy. My old mongrel is showing his age and it can't be long before we take our last walk together.
I live on my own and he is a constant companion. I don't know what I will do without him.
I'm sorry for your loss mate. I know it's early days, but will you get another?

I am a massive dog lover so in the future I will get another, Simba wasn't my first dog, but he touch my heart more than any other pet I have had. Our walks used to last for hours, I would take him on 5-10 mile walks and he loved it. The last few years though he could only manage 3 or 4 miles before he got tired.
He was never poorly throughout his life and it was only the last couple of months he started going down hill. Also he was very fit and healthy as he got plenty of exercise, he put on a bit of weight over the last year but he wasn't fat or anything. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Me OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 CPU AMD Bulldozer FX-8 8120 Black Edition @ 4GHz Motherboard Asus Crosshair V Formula 990FX Memory Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Graphics Card MSI nVidia Geforce GTX 670 OC 2048MB GDDR5 Sound Card Sound Blaster X-Fi 2 MB 2 Monitor(s) Displays Samsung SyncMaster SA350 22" LED HDMI Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech G510 Mouse Microsoft Wireless 3000 PSU Corsair Professional Series Gold AX1200 (1200Watts) Case Antec 1200 Ultimate Gaming Case Hard Drives Seagate Barracuda SATA II 500GB 16MB Cache 7200.12 Internet Speed Upto 40Mb/s Fibre Optic Broadband |

sorry to hear about your loss Fluffy.
i look after a lot of cats, and one of my favourites, Smudge, has a large growing tumour in his jaw/throat. the vet and i are monitoring closely, and at the moment, Smudge is still in blissful ignorance - he isn't in pain, nor does it seem to affect his breathing and eating - yet.
however, it will do in a month or two's time, and when that happens we will have to do the right thing for him and help him out of his suffering.
as i keep so many cats, mainly oldies, this is a decision i have to regretfully take regularly. but i am still thankful that i've had the chance to enjoy their company for the time that we shared together.
i know it's not the same, but i'm sure the right pup will find it's way to you before long.
as A Guy mentioned above, try to think of the good times, and not the last few weeks when you think about Simba. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number mickey megabyte 1234 OS ultimate 64 sp1 CPU i5 2500K 3.3@4.2GHz Motherboard MSI P67A-GD53 Memory 8 gigs GSkill Ripjaws 1600 Graphics Card amd hd6950 Sound Card creative x-fi gamer Monitor(s) Displays samsung 24" Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard saitek eclipse ii Mouse logitech g3 PSU antec 550 Case antec three hundred Cooling i'm a cooling fan Hard Drives ocz vertex 2e 60 gig, samsung f3 1tb, buffalo 2tb ext Internet Speed about 4 Mbps Other Info i love win7 RIP Simba, my gorgeous Alsatian Cross problems?
