As above. Especially David Gilmour. For any Floyd fans, be sure to check his first solo album. If you ever had any doubts on what influence he had on Floyd, this should convince you. Best. Album. Ever.

But you could just check my last.fm page.

i got to see Gilmour during his last tour

i caught the first night he played at Royal Albert Hall - the night that Bowie showed up and sang Waters' part of Comfortably Numb. i get the chills just thinking about it! thankfully it's all captured on the DVD they released from that show

i'm a big Pink Floyd fan (mostly Gilmour era stuff - Division Bell is the best!)

but i also like:
Massive Attack
Hooverphonic
Morcheeba
Soul Coughing / Mike Doughty
plus about 200 more that i doubt anyone here has ever heard of :P

Agree about Pink Floyd, a seminal band. I saw them years ago when Syd Barrat was still in the band.

Currently I'm playing Arcade Fire and Fleet Foxes plus TV on the Radio ( and the new Beyonce album)

Also recently returned to Leonard Cohen (especially covers of his songs) and the immortal Neil Young.

I'm 55 now and thanks to the internet now know more about current trends in popular music than I did when I was a kid.

cheers, john
