New toy

Just got my new Coby Kyros MID7015 Internet Tablet from Dell today. It's the cheap mans iPad...LOLOLOL. Not too bad if I do say so my self. They had them on sale for $169.99 and free shipping.

I'm typing this post with it right now. I'll post a pic shortly.

Hi, dobhar!

Nice! Have you tried the iPad? If so, how does it compare? Can you install 3rd party apps on the Kyros? What is the base OS?

Sorry for all the question, dobhar, just curious.

No problem mikedl...(1) Yep, I have played with the iPad and if I had an extra $800 bucks I might have bought one...too many other things need my money...LOLOL The Coby, as I said a poor man's iPad, is similar to the iPad as it's a touch screen and you have apps (answers your question #2) to start with then you can also install 3rd party apps from Google. I "rooted" (Rooting is the process of gaining root access to Android. Android is based on the Linux operating system. Root access is superuser permissions (SU), much like an Administrator in Windows.) it so I can do much more (3) Android
