it has to be a timezone thing....

yes and this is what matters the most that new people are showing and posting..
and out those members there is a better chance if getting new contributors...
i believe most forums are not even close to these numbers that you guys have in the form of new members ...
    i should know....
    im new here...
    but not in computing...

    edit: forgot my party hat....
    even thought i wasn't invited....

    Hey DA

Surely that should be WE, You are part of it too

One thing I did notice is that the Seven Forums have started to appear in my Google Alerts - Always a good sign

Only one at the moment, for one of the tutorials, but a good sign that things are getting out to the wider web audience

Most definitely that should be we. That's one of the great things about this site. A comparatively large group of people that seem to truly enjoy helping others with their computer problems.

    Thanks Norm
i felt that this is the only forum that would actually be stand on it own...
(i think you know what i mean somewhere along the lines of catching momentum...)
i went to other forums before and havent been this active since there arent alot of posters or they are already developed that you cannot easily become a contributor...
but since W7 forums was still in its infancy when i joined then i thought might as well give it a shot...

I must say it. I don't like forums. A bunch of cliquey nerdy types sitting around typing, because they've got nothing else to do. Talking inane rot and totally up themselves with self importance. I've tried it before and thought it was a total waste of their, and my, time. Then I chanced on Vista Forums and the guys and gals here. I still think the same about other peoples forums, but this is mine, and I love the chatter, the education, the feeling of belonging, the fact that we are all different and nobody says I'm talking cr**p, and best of all, the friendship. There should be a better word for what John and the team have done, and are doing here. Forum sounds so ordinary.
