You see, I hate being apart of the majority. but in this thread I am, dang it!

I got my first computer back in 1986, an XT, I believe. Three weeks later, I bought parts to make an 286-16-mhz, with 384 shadow ram! Built several 286's-12-mhz for friends. Then a 386-dx-40, 486-sx-25, Pentinum-66, and so on.

    From dos-5.0 to 6.20. Windows 3.1, 95a, 95b, 98, 98se, (skipped ME).

The first reliable version of Windows was the 2000 version, so I bought it. 258.00 plus tax, for a OEM version.

XP is just 2000 with eye-candy and updated drivers. Vista was a slow shugging/bloated train....

Windows 7 is Vista with a major service-pack!!! Version Windows-7 is the best Windows so far, next to Windows-2000. I like/d Windows-7 so much... that I bought it for myself and my two sons, two Xmas'es ago, at 190.00 per copy.

Windows-8 will have to be dang-good, for me to consider buying it...
