I have Samsung Galaxy S and its the best phone I've ever had. I got it from the Samsung store for around 440 euros (SIM free). :)

The battery life is OK. If you'll be using the phone on 3G network, browsing,Wi-FI, music/video playing, etc., it wont last more than a day and would require charging almost everyday. But that's how smartphones are!

It runs very good. There are talks on android forums about the 3D test and other benchmarks testing and Galaxy S tops the chart. My personal experience is also quite satisfactory with this phone. No lag while playing any local or network game, no lag during playing HD video whatsoever. I'd suggest you try this phone for a week and check it yourself.

P.S. : My few friends uses HTC Desire HD and that works very good as well.

Is it worth looking at the Nexus S? It seems the same as the Galaxy S?
