Thanks to doixanh ,developer from XDA,I got almoust dual touch on my X8!
I just installed Nexus ROM for X8 and overclocked my CPU @710Mhz. Now,the phone is much faster than before... For now I don't found any bug. :)
I'm liking CyanogenMod 7, fast and smooth. Also started to like ADW Launcher. I used to always prefer LauncherPro Plus, and didn't really like ADW when I tried it, but find it's really good actually and a lot of options to play around with.
Just wish more 2.3 ROMs would include the new Nexus live wallpaper. Annoying I have to keep pulling it out of the only ROM I know that has it and flash it myself
Had to flash the CM7 HBOOT table, which increases the internal storage a ton, as well as A2SD script running, will never run out of space, lol.
Hey ho,
I guess after StalkeR pointed me towwards his thread i will add my Android device.
The very gorgeous HTC Desire.
I very nearly went for the Desire HD... Until i saw the size of it!!!
Absolutly love this phone, so damn quick. One main reason i went for it was the 1.0ghz CPU.
My only gripe is the battery length, i went with this phone to replace my crappy ipod (never will i own anything Apple again) so i could play my videos, movies and music but after a day of listening to music i need to recharge.
Going to buy a second battery and a dock so that might help.
My only other gripe, which is no more, was no EQ. Downloaded the free version of power amp and all is fine, slightly annoying it keeps asking me to buy the full version but it still works with no issues
Just need to figure my other issue --- Internet connections lost when connecting HTC Desire

Desire is the phone I have. Love it, great phone. Still one of the best Android phones available.
Custom ROMs/kernels can help battery life. A kernel I tried was great for battery, lasted up to 2 and a half days with just general use.
Only thing I can think of with your problem is maybe your phone is trying to be tethered?
Hello. First for the battery life can really help Advanced Task Killer. Also as Everlong said, using a costum rom will be a good opinion. About player you can use Doubletwist or MixZing.
For paid app I'll suggest Winamp.(For me is the best)
About your problem... seems to be a strange problem. Check the Everlong suggestion...
Hey Everlong and StalkeR,
I will be closing the thread.
The problem has been solved.
Don't know why but i plugged ma HTC into a USB 3 port and the problem stopped. Still connected to the internet and the phone is connected also.
I did another search with a completely different search wording and found a Facebook thread that said some people had a USB 1 front port.
I could'nt believe this may have been the problem as my front ports should be USB 2 (check system specs below for case and board).
So, i just thought, i will go one better and try USB 3, and voila, it works.
As for rooting and using a custom rom, that is now next on the list.
Thanks for your suggestions though guys.
Lucky
If you need any help with rooting your Desire then just ask here and I'll help. They've made it pretty foolproof now, and it's hard to go wrong.
