Brazil 3 - USA 2, Closely contested What an upset for the americans, it's not easy to achieve a second place in these events, they beat strong teams to get to where they are, teams like italy, spain, etc, they'd never come this far before in soccer, I don't think they imagined they could get that far.... Even though they lost, they've outperformed and exceeded a lot of expectations...

It should have been 4-2, that was clearly a goal after the reply was shown. I thought the US had no shot, but they made it interesting in the first half, but I had a feeling they were going to lose when Brazil scored so quickly in the 2nd half. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Desktop & HP G60-120US OS Windows 7 Pro x64 & Win7 Pre x64 / Ubuntu 9.10 Beta CPU Q6600 Quad Core 2 - 2.4Ghz Motherboard EVGA - 680i SLI Memory 4GB Kingston DDR2 800 Graphics Card XFX 8800GT Alpha Dog Ed. Yeah it would have been quite embarassing to lose to the US, who is(ehem, was) virtually unknown in the soccer scene, but sure enough Brazil lived up to their rep. and with not much effort(c'mon, don't u agree) turned things around; 1,2 & 3 just like that(call it experience or whatever).... I have to say that I'd have been sad if Brazil had lost, because I was with them on this one.... Good match overall, lots of spectacle, it wasn't the boring 1-0 or even 3-0, each side scored and gave it's best.
This just proves that nothin' is over until the fat lady sings or the whistle is blown... | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number It's a Custom Build..... Yeah , I hear ya. I live in the US but my parents are Portuguese, and I always have followed Portugal and Brazil, because the US doesn't promote futball here enough, we have to many American sports, and no one is interested here. So I had to root for the US, but Brazil winning doesn't bother me. I'm just glad it wasn't Italy ...LOL | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Desktop & HP G60-120US OS Windows 7 Pro x64 & Win7 Pre x64 / Ubuntu 9.10 Beta CPU Q6600 Quad Core 2 - 2.4Ghz Motherboard EVGA - 680i SLI Memory 4GB Kingston DDR2 800 Graphics Card XFX 8800GT Alpha Dog Ed.
