    Top 10 reasons NOT to test my code.

    Help me out? I plan to write an article about testing code. Personally, I find it frustrating when I stumble into code that was obviously never tested.

    So, with the intent of adding a litle humor, I am looking for ideas as to why developers would not want to test their code.

    Just to get you thinking, I'll seed the list...
    • I get paid the same whether I test the code or not.
    • I have YOU to test it for me. I'll fix it in the next release.
    • The natural order of the universe is entropy. Broken code is part of nature. Get used to it.
    • I'm having a bad day, why shouldn't you?
    Later, I'll create a survey to learn the most popular responses from all the ideas. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

    • The cat wanted dinner and it was very insistent.
    • The computer joined a cult and testing is against it's beliefs.
    • I'm a germaphobe and can't risk encountering bugs.
    • Your defenition of bugs and my definition of bugs differ greatly.
    • I believe in letting end users learn valauble trouble shooting skills.
    • It's a team effort. You are now part of the team.

    By purchasing our software, and paying to have it maintained, you are actually getting a unique opportunity to find all our coding bugs.

    The people developing our webshop system at my dayjob always say;

    We have more clients and we can only work on your system a few hours a week, so we don't have time to test for bugs.

    Ugh v_v

    *It's not a bug, you're just using it wrong.
