German 101 by a non-native speaker, here's what was said:
Me: But you're just a kid compared to me! I'm 52 in two days.
Borg: My uncle Dieter sent me a birthday card: "The hair will be whiter and whiter(1)
, the life more and more s***(2)
. Hold On!".
But he still takes a drink for me.
= "Immer weißere" would literally be "always whiter", but in this context the more accurate translation is a really emphasized "whiter", which I believe could be said in English by repeating the word, "whiter and whiter"
= "immer scheißer" should for rhyming reasons be "s***ter and s***ter", but I belive it's not English so following the same reasoning as in (1)
, I would translate it "more and more s***".
