    Bootable SuSe ISO DVD

I thought that all that I would have to do to create a bootable DVD with an ISO was to simply burn a data DVD with Nero 8, but when that failed to boot, regardless of which of several drives that I tried, I Googled to see if I had forgot something. From what I found, it appears that I didn't, so I now have to ask what I'm doing wrong?

For burning ISO's I personally use PowerISO. Also you can use MagicISO.

Thanks all, I solved the problem. I think that it was that I burned it as a data file, rather than an image. I now have SuSe 11.4 up and running. I may be premature in saying so, but it appears that it installed in much the same fashion that I previously had to work a good deal to accomplish, and a lot faster. I hope that I'm not wrong, because I'm somewhat more familiar with SuSe than I am with other distros.

Hi seekermeister, will you be not comfortable booting any of all your bootable ISOs from a pendrive rather than burning them on to CD/DVDs ? (ya, provided your system/s can boot from an USB device)

Just have a look at my post Creating a bootable flash drive from ISO file

I don't know that it is a matter of not being comfortable with flash drives, I just feel more comfortable with discs. Besides I have a lot of them just sitting on the shelf waiting to be used. Also, I sort of have the flash drives that I have set aside for special purposes.
