Why is there such a fuss about Portal 2??? Now, I loved Portal as much as anybody. However, I don't quite see how a game made less than 5 years ago seems to have gained more of a 'cult status' than say, Tron or Star Wars. Now the long awaited (for some reason unbeknown to me) sequeal arrives and there's seemingly more fuss about it than the next CoD!? I don't get why there was quite such a big deal about it | My System Specs |

because Portal is just pure awesomeness. GLaDOS's sarky attitude, the ability to go nearly anywhere through a hole made by a sweet looking gun, Playing a charicter thats nearly a vegetable instead of [sarcasm]a pimped up strong-ass know-it-all own-everything 007 gun-man[/sarcasm]
I was up the night it was released (thank you, ear infection and insomnia!!)
as soon as i saw it as playable, i played it.
Portal is better than CoD, imho. Unlike cod, it requires thinking.. unlike other "point and shoot" vegetable games.
imma prolly get flamed for saying this, and loads of -rep but i speak my mind and if people decide to listen...up to them.
and for the rec', i'm just getting achievements in portal 2 now. 7hrs to complete | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HomeBuild (CodeNamed "Suzanne") OS Micro$oft Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Intel Core2Duo (2.66GHz autoclocked to 3.00GHz) Motherboard Gigabyte GA-X38-DS5 Memory 4gb DDR2 (2+2gb) Graphics Card NVidia 8800gt + Generic Radeon Sound Card OnBoard (see Motherboard), Azalia codec enabled Monitor(s) Displays LG Flatron L197WH, Dell UltraSHARP 17", ACER V193W Screen Resolution 1440x900x32 1440x900x32 1024x768x32 Keyboard Apple Aluminium Keyboard Mouse Standard Microsoft 3 button mouse with scroll wheel PSU NeoPower 550 Case iCute Cooling Air (through Larger-than-needed heatsyncs) Hard Drives 500GB Sata (3.5")

You aren't going to get negative rep.
Portal 2 is an awesome game, it's going to be one of the first games I'll be playing on my new computer (which I'm getting today happyhappyhappyhappy)

The real question is, does it live up to the original Portals' awesomeness, and is it worth the money? Granted $45 isn't as bad as $60 for PS3, but I hate spending money on a game that just doesn't deliver. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Acer Aspire TimelineX AS4820T-6645 OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit CPU Intel Core i3 380M(2.53GHz) Memory 4GB DDR3 1066 Graphics Card Intel HD Graphics 128MB VRAM Screen Resolution 1366x768 Hard Drives 640GB 5400RPM SATA |

One is a FPS shooter, the other is not. I wouldn't call CoD a *decent* fps shooter to be honest. flame me if you wish, but that's my opinion. I much prefer Half Life and Unreal Tournament..

I pre-ordered it on Steam. personally I enjoyed Portal, and I enjoyed Portal 2 even more. though..

Well I didn't think there'd be a Portal 2 with the end of Portal 1, lol.
I enjoyed Portal 1 a lot, but didn't think it was as good as everyone made out, especially when it was about 2 or 3 hours worth of gameplay. Portal 2 looks to improve that a lot, but still don't really wanna pay full price for it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Windows 7 Professional x64 Service Pack 1 CPU Intel Core i7 920 3.2GHz Motherboard ASUS Sabertooth x58 Memory 6GB XMS3 Corsair 1333MHz Graphics Card Zotac Nvidia Geforce GTX470 Sound Card ASUS Xonar DX/XD 7.1 Monitor(s) Displays Dell 24" S2409W + Dell 20" E207WFP Screen Resolution 1920x1080 + 1680x1050 Keyboard Logitech G11 Keyboard Mouse Logitech G5 Laser Mouse (2007 edition) PSU Corsair HX850 modular Case Coolermaster 690II Advanced Nvidia Edition Cooling Corsair H60 Hard Drives 1x 120GB OCZ Vertex 2E, 1x 750GB Western Digital Caviar Black, 1x 1TB Western Digital Caviar Green Internet Speed 16Mbps Other Info LG Blu-Ray player |

Hehe, what I couldn't understand is why all the billboard and bus ads and such. NO ONE that didn't know anything about Portal one knows what the hell the ads ar for. NO ONE.
And anyone that knows what Portal one was, certainly already knew about Portal 2 without any bilboards.
