I have two BIG ones: I volunteered for service in the U.S. Army in 1970, during Vietnam (NOT a good idea), and I got married after I got home. I survived Vietnam and have been divorced long since, but the marriage may have come the closest to killing me in the end. I do have two beautiful, exceptional grown daughters though, and make no complaint about that.

After over half a century on this Earth, I discovered that I really, really like repairing PCs, and I continue to enjoy that enormously. So all told, it's all been survivable to this point.

I put my laptop in a case didn't close the case and it fell out and the screen was destroyed. I was so mad. If you mean non PC wise once I locked my self outside my house with out my keys. I had to wait for somebody to come let me back in for a few hours.

I also stupidly volunteered into the US Army during the current Afghanistan/Iraq war a few years ago. Just glad I didn't get sent over.

while resizing a partition (copying data phase), I moved my PC <thud> (click)... no more data.
I know better, was trying to hurry. Yup, I lost everything on that entire 500GB Drive. And yes, I tried data recovery
    software.

During testing of an automated unattended Windows 7 install at work from USB, got sidetracked with a conversation with a coworker and forgot to swap to my temporary hard drive. As luck would have it, after about 10 previous attempts, this attempt was 100% correct and formatted the drive and installed the OS. Unfortunately, it was on my actual work hard drive and I lost everything on the machine.
