    Benny Hill

One of the networks here in the U.S. has started showing Benny Hill episodes.

    All I can say is

The guy was a comic genious.
He ranks way, way up at the top.
    My sides hurt!!

I like BH. The show I really miss is Paul Hogan variety show from Australia. For awhile my cable TV carried it. Guess it only lasted about 39 episodes. Not enough to package and sell.

He did a lot of police/fire vehicle speeded up film similar to BH. Also he had a character who grilled shrimp on the barbie and opened all the cans in a 6 pack of beer at once and just tilted the whole 6 pack to drink it. Another character was a police detective lieutenant who wore a trench coat and beat everyone he talked to using a blackjack. It had much the same feel as BH routines.

Unfortunately it's not likely I'll see the show again as 39 episodes isn't enough to make a profit distributing.

Paul Hogan did very well - had a couple of hit movies , too.

Yeah BH was hilarious - couldn't get away with making those kind of shows nowadays.

Can be shown as repeats - since he is no longer with us, there are no complaints.

Some of the limericks were fun. Also the karate bits where he'd be at one end of a long fence and punch and his fist would stick out from behind the other end. Cartoon like.

I should have had my own bald guy to pat on the head! That's where I went wrong!

    :)

I remember a song he did that had a line in it "Can you please let me go 'round again?"

Wish I could find that somewhere.
