Forum navigation, don't know where this goes

I know this might be weird as I just joined the forums, but I help admin/run another site. Why do you have Windows 7 Forums > Seven Forums > ...

I just asked this because it would seem as you should only have Seven Forums as it's the name of your site. Well idk, it's just weird having 2 links that direct you to the same area. Sorry I just notice things like that, as I originally thought you didn't host the forums and might be on a parent site but that's not the case.

Often wondered myself, so I played with it.
http://www.sevenforums.com/ Takes me to the top of the page.

http://www.sevenforums.com/#seven-forums takes me to the portion of the page below the Seven Forum label for (../#seven-forums)

Are there any bigger fish to fry?

I think everyone that is here wondered, but we all just assumed John had a reason for it.
I think he fixed it, which is good because it always bugged me too.

Thanks, and welcome Mushroomboy.

I believe it is a hold out from the forums design on the Vista Forums where the were the membership forums and also syndicated feeds from the Microsoft vista newsgroups.

As Microsoft has as yet not created any Windows 7 syndicated forums the discrepancy arose

Another question:

When you edit a post, why does it add another period? Look at this post to see what I mean.

EDIT: "Last edited by Lordbob75; 1 Minute Ago at 07:56 PM.. Reason: before this sentance"
See? Right after 7:56 pm.. Two periods...

=O You found some muckery in the code, though do you want to bother fixing it? lol That's a good one, I wouldn't have noticed that.
