In a word, no.

I think cats remember that they were once gods and they hate us for forsaking them for other gods. They are just waiting to take their revenge.

But they won't drool and slobber all over you like my friend's 120lb black Lab either.(it's a perfectly friendly and pleasant dog, if you are in the habit of wearing an apron or coveralls)
