Windows 8 in 2012? DailyTech - Ballmer: Windows 8 Will Land in 2012, Pop up in Tablets
So apparently Windows 8 will be released sometime in 2012, I'm not too crazy about the release looks more like a SP of Windows 7 then a full blown change plus Windows 7 was just released for a couple years and it's running very stable on my machine. Only if the price is right, I mean a lot cheaper than Windows 7 like by 50% or more then I may look into upgrading providing that 6GB ram on Windows 8 runs like 4GB ram on Windows 7 or better and Windows 8 performance is better than Windows 7 overall (games included).
Crazy Microsoft this is either going to be fail or major fail IMO. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit CPU Intel i5-2520M Memory Corsair 8GB DDR3-1600 Graphics Card AMD HD-6850M Sound Card Realtek Dolby Advanced HD Screen Resolution 1600x900 Mouse Logitech M510 | Logitech G400 Hard Drives Crucial M4 128GB | Hitachi Travelstar 750GB Internet Speed 35 Mbps |

They are going to have to do something pretty impressive to get my upgrade. I went from XP to 7...and only dealt with Vista on work machines and my wife's laptop. I've been very happy and satisfied with 7.
