Dads new $900 beater, 2001 Chevy Silverado

My dad picked this up a couple of months ago for $900.
Looks decent and runs great. Been driving it myself since my Formula is sick.
you think he got a good deal?

If it runs, and it looks pretty decent on the outside. For 900? Yeah, I'd say so.

    How many miles?

If you can get any vehicle made in the last decade, that's drivable $900 is a steal. Especially for a full size pickup. Does it have a V8? (Not sure if V6 was even offered in that model, not a Chevy guy)

Just the tires and wheels could be worth $900. Excellent deal

Any time you can get any truck for $900 you did good.
Here is the N.A.D.A. Blue book price I put in 200,000 miles in the form.
    $2800 to $6925

    It's a 4.3l V6 with 170K miles.
Wheels and tires didn't come with it, had 16" stock silver steel wheels.
I traded my cube server case for the 17" Avalanche wheels and the Nitto Terra Grappler tires were $532.

That looks like an amazing deal. The bodywork is very tidy all round as far as I can tell. As long as the engine and running gear are ok it's fantastic.:)

when you get close to the truck you can see the flaws in the paint and some small dents around the body. Truck was probably used as a work vehicle. There is no carpet either, just a rubber floor, which doesn't bother me, much easier to clean.
