i tried it out but my power company doesnt support it yet so i have to manually enter in info, but it basically tells me obvious stuff like swapping out ac and heat for better units, put in new windows, better light bulbs.

Umm, did all that already. About the only thing left is solar panels, but the upfront cost is just to expensive right now.

I'm about as 'green' as a 1,000 watt incandescent light bulb!

Give it another year. Several companies have redesigned the manufacturing process for panels that will reduce the cost significantly, it should be main stream by Q2 of 2010. I'm looking forward to installing it at my place. I do contract work for one of the companies, I'm hoping to get a discount, we'll see.

On topic, I'm using Hohm but I haven't done much with it yet. I'm interested to see where they take this, HealthVault and Amalga. My current provider, Reliant Energy, does not work with Hohm yet so I'm manually entering the data.

    Hello Mikinho,

I remembered reading something before about a new design for solar panels, but never heard anything else about it since. I'll be looking forward to then. :)

    Thank you.

Sunrgi (Sunrgi :: Solar Energy Systems Cleantech) is one of the companies. They initially hope to release this year but Q2 of 2010 is a more realistic date. One other company expects to announce this year as well but NDA to say more.
