I pay close to $50 for 8+ mbps almost $80 US if you include the landline. Problem is at this point I'm scrapping the pennies to pay for it
boogieboy--------- Ok yes I can see now that it is not cheap then for you or JeromeththeGiraff and there's me thinking in the USA it was cheaper for BB than here, I had no idea the price in Pakistan and in fact it's the 1st time I've ever spoke to anyone from there.
Our speed suppose to double soon wonder how much more they will want lol

Paul1360, do you really only get 1.5Mb/s? Have you tried using a different providers that may give you a better contention ratio? Some of the people in my village get 2Mb but I am using a different provider and get 8Mb. The only problem is that that is all I will ever get unless BT goes LLU in the exchange which "ain't gonna happen" and there are no plans for any upgrades to 21CN or anything else.
Aye for sure could only get 1.5Mb down no matter which ISP I used, Then around Nov last year I got another router and I was then getting around 2.0Mb and then I found out about DMT Tool which I played about with it and got a bit more speed.
The above was the best I was able to get, That was the last test I did before I went on FTTC a few hours later. In my cave up in dem hills it's a long way to my exchange, our exchange was LLU + 21CN but it made no differance to be honest, a cave up from me once got 3Mb but it never lasted long a few days is all, Hence the reason that there are only 14 slots left in our DSLAM and we are all very very happy with our increased speeds, mad about the rubbish modem BT gives tho, on my site a few days ago we asked how many modems had been replaced and we were blown away to find that 46 had been, some still have the same 1 others like me on their 3rd, even 1 guy that has had Infinity for 3 weeks and is on his 6th modem. Madness on BT's part me thinks.
