Windows 7: 1Gbps fiber coming soon...but not in UK!!

Even $70 per month is too expensive for me.

I struggle to get 5Mbps so 20 which Talk Talk advertise would be nice.

You can only get the 20 if your local exchange has been upgraded for it. Look up your local exchange here to find out about connectivity:- ADSL24 - Package Availability - BT, C&W, LLU, FTTC, Fibre to the Cabinet, WBC, 21CN, 20CN etc

well, im lucky to get 4 meg here witch is the limit of what i can get here in my little village.
I could get FTTC but I cringe at BT with there capping and overpriced broadband, plus the terrible homehubs.

Im on o2 at the moment, no slowdowns, good pings, good UK customer call centres and my own netgear router.

Though it would be good to get 32 meg down and 8meg up on FTTC, just got to make that step and see if it would be worth loosing the service and availability i get from o2.

Im getting 8 in a village in SW Scotland but there is no chance for 40 or even 20 as they are not going to upgrade the local exchange for even 21CN let alone FTTC! @F1Fan have you checked out whether you can get Sky service via FTTC? They may be able to offer a better deal than BT.

The only one on my exchange that hasn't got a tick is Fibre
FTTC VDSL2.

Hi Maccman, so what speeds are avaiable if you can connect to a 21CN connection? You should be able to get at least 20megs as I believe 21CN capability gives you ADSL2+ which SHOULD give you connectivity up to 24megs (believe that if you will!)

I get about 5-6Mb on Talk Talk LLU. I am about as far as I can be from the exchange.

Wow such a great deal...I am stuck getting butt raped for internet service...more so compared to that.
