3 things which Microsoft can never explain

    AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!
Do it practically Then u 'll come to know........ ..

    MAGIC #1
An Indian found that nobody can create a FOLDER anywhere on the Computer
which can be named as "CON". This is something funny and inexplicable. At
Microsoft the whole Team, couldn't answer why this happened!
TRY IT NOW, IT WILL NOT CREATE A "CON" FOLDER

    MAGIC #2
For those of you using Windows, do the following:
1...) Open an empty notepad file
2.) Type "Bush hid the facts" (without the quotes)
3.) Save it as whatever you want.
4.) Close it, and re-open it.
Noticed the weird bug? No one can explain!

    MAGIC #3
Again this is something funny and can't be explained. At Microsoft the
whole Team, including Bill Gates, couldn't answer why this happened!
It was discovered by a Brazilian. Try it out yourself.
    Open Microsoft Word and type
    =rand (200, 99)
    And then press ENTER
    And see the magic.

IIRC, CON is short for console, and is a reserved system name.
I'm sure someone at MSFT would know.

    edit:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...8VS.85%29.aspx
    "..Do not use the following reserved device names for the name of a file: CON, PRN, AUX, NUL, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, and LPT9

Thanks for sharing, they are fun but the above one isn't exactly true. CON is a reserved word and I highly doubt Microsoft doesn't know that

    All of the following are: CON, PRN, AUX, NUL, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, and LPT9.

CON is a keyword for console.

And it isn't exactly true in that you can create a folder named CON by using the full path. Run the below command from your command prompt.

    Code:

    MD \\.\\C:\CON
It is a fun hack used by various trojans\hacks similar to using Native API strings in that you can't remove it using "normal" methods but programmatically you can.

Lol, just got 2 PMs on how to remove the folder.

    Code:

    RD \\.\\C:\CON
Or if you want to be more appropiate, the proper Unicode path would use a ? instead of the .

    Code:

    RD \\?\\C:\CON
