Hooked up my 22 year old SNES for my nephew My nephew has been watching Super Mario Bros vids on Youtube and wanted to play the games so I pulled out my original SNES I bought back in 89 (or whenever they were released) and hooked it up to the Plasma and it still works.

EDIT:
Looks like the SNES was released in August of 1991 and the NES was released in 1985. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_N...ainment_System http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintend...ainment_System | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HAL-9000 OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit CPU Intel i7 3770K Motherboard Asus Sabertooth Z77 Memory 16GB DDR3 1333 Corsair XMS3 Graphics Card XFX HD6950 2GB EyeFinity Sound Card Logitech G35 & Sennheiser PC135 & VIA HD Monitor(s) Displays 23" HP 2310e, 23" Samsung B2230, 21.5" Viewsonic Screen Resolution 5760x1080 Keyboard Logitech G15 and G13 Mouse Logitech G700 Gaming Mouse PSU Antec True Power New 650watt Case Cooler Master HAF-932 Cooling Corsair H60 Hydro Cooler, 3x 230mm Fans, 2x120mm Fan Hard Drives 16TB of Storage

Good stuff! I still fire up the Sega Genesis, SNES, NES, and N64 emulators every so often. Growing up on those systems was awesome. I saddens me to think that many kids today have never played a video game that was a chunk of plastic because everything is disc now. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Acer Aspire TimelineX AS4820T-6645 OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit CPU Intel Core i3 380M(2.53GHz) Memory 4GB DDR3 1066 Graphics Card Intel HD Graphics 128MB VRAM Screen Resolution 1366x768 Hard Drives 640GB 5400RPM SATA |

I miss my original Nintendo.I still can't believe my parents sold it at a yard sale for $5. It was while I was gone too so I couldn't say anything. It even had the Nintendo dust cover for it. :'( | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Lenovo Thinkpad T410i 251673U OS Windows 7 Professional x64 SP 1;Windows 8 Consumer Preview;Ubuntu 12.10 CPU 2.4Ghz Core i3 370M Memory 8GB 1333Mhz DDR3 Graphics Card Intel HD graphics Sound Card SmartAudio HD Monitor(s) Displays 22" Widescreen HDTV Screen Resolution 1280x800 laptop screen,1400x900 external HDTV Keyboard Thinkpad T410 keyboard Mouse Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 PSU 65W Lenovo Powersupply Case Thinkpad T410i Cooling Standard Hard Drives 265GB Intel 320 SSD Internal drive, 500GB WD Black in Optibay. I am glad to see that your is still running! I have a SNES too but and have always been meaning to break it out and see if it is still working ( it should be). Trouble is, trying to find some of the games i have lost over the years is an expensive process. Seeing them go for $100+ on eBay is slightly troubling. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Professional x64 Backtrack 4 R2 CPU Intel Core i5-650 Motherboard Gigabyte P55-UD3 Memory 4 GB Geil PC3 12800 Graphics Card HIS HD 4870 X2 Sound Card Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Monitor(s) Displays BenQ 22" G2220HD Keyboard Microsoft SideWinder X6 Mouse Razer Abyssus PSU Antec High Current Gamer 620W Power Supply Case Thermaltake Armor+ MX Hard Drives Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB

There is a place here in Vegas that sells aftermarket consoles that are like multi-game slot loaders. It would have, for example, a slot for Genesis, NES, and SNES all on the same console. They go for like $50 new. Then you just need the cartridges. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Acer Aspire TimelineX AS4820T-6645 OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit CPU Intel Core i3 380M(2.53GHz) Memory 4GB DDR3 1066 Graphics Card Intel HD Graphics 128MB VRAM Screen Resolution 1366x768 Hard Drives 640GB 5400RPM SATA |
