There's a fairly wide disparity on when we've received the last rainfall in San Antonio. The official records are compiled at the San Antonio Int'l Airport. But I don't know a single person who actually lives there so individual neighborhoods have slightly different data. My specific neighborhood has received less than 3 inches of rain so far in 2011 as recorded by a local and official NOAA
monitoring station. The Airport has recorded about twice that. Normal rainfall for the first 8 months of any given year averages about 25 inches with a yearly average of about 32 inches. I think the last rain I actually witnessed was in early June when we had a brief thunderstorm in late afternoon. It dumped about .03 inches. A real frog drowner. (Sarcasm intentional.)
I'm coping by conserving local water and using imported water. In other words, I'm drinking more Carling Black Label and Guinness Extra Stout.
