Microsoft confirms Windows 7 Family Pack rumours

I think this is old news but...

Microsoft confirmed the existence of a Windows 7 family pack today in a company blog post.

Rumours of a Family Pack deal were originally reported by Neowin earlier this month. The Windows 7 family pack will offer a licence for people to install Windows Home Premium on up to 3 PCs.

Yeah, it will be interesting to see how many take advantage of this license offer. I'm glad to see them finally doing this...as it's getting common to have a few PC's around the house these days.

Jeez...with that many computers you should broaden your horizons a bit. There are other OS's and such that you could learn and experiment with on a few of them.

I would have loved to do the pre-order but they seemed like only upgrade versions, not full versions.

As for the family pack, I would do that to upgrade all of my Windows PCs, but it's Home Premium only? Grrr.

I guess my secondary PCs will continue to run XP.
