    Remember the good old days back when you were ten, a glass of Tang in one hand and your favorite sci-fi show flickering on your crappy 13-inch CRT television? If you were like us, you would have given anything – anything – to get your grubby little prepubescent paws on just one badass ray gun or a smart-talking robot. Fast forward to now: a lot of that fictional tech that you used to gape at as a child is, lo and behold, becoming a cutting-edge reality.

    Sure, it's not all quite as glamorous as the TV made it out to be. An iPad isn't a Star Trek PADD (there's an app for that, though) and a Roomba definitely isn't as cool as George Jetson's beloved Rosie. But if you want to soar like Superman or vanquish foes with a Kirk-esque sense of style, there's plenty of real world gadgets out there that let you live like a sci-fi superhero – assuming you can get your hands on them...
