Does anybody know of a way I can automatically monitor and record a log of downstream/upstream broadband speeds?
Lately my ISP has been providing really crappy speeds -- it drops like a stone every evening and doesn't fully recover until the wee hours. I'm talking about download speeds in the hundreds of kbps instead of the usual 5+ Mbps!
I would like to find some way of testing & recording broadband speeds at set intervals... I want to assemble a log showing how bad this service gets every day.

Right click on "My Computer" and click on "Manage." Next click on "Monitoring Tools" (on the left hand side) and then click on "Proformance Monitor." Now you will see a + on the top. Now just add what ever you want to monitor.

Also if you are good with batch files you can get very creative to create a log for network logging. Let me look in my batch file folder and I let you know if I have one that does that.
