Just wanted to know how you pronounce different computer-related abbreviations.
I pronounce the following as:
GUI= G-U-I
SATA= Say Tuh
.gif= jiff
SQL= S-Q-L
SCSI= Scuzzy
JPG/JPEG= J-P-G/Jay Peg

Those who use it say S- Q - L. Separates the men from the boys. Especially from the scuzzy ones.
I will only buy Jif. Tastes more like fresh roasted peanuts. And it's gooey.
And SATA is some kind of Jewish dinner party.
Just had to Google what jif is to you guys over the pond with you saying 'Tates more like fresh roasted peanuts', Didn't realize it's creamy peanut butter over there...
To us in the UK, it's either a very sour lemon juice for putting on pancakes..
..or a few year back it was the name of a cleaning fluid. (Now called Cif, which sounds more like a nickname for a STD!)

GUI is spelled like that, but the official pronunceation is indeed Gooey. Like a Geoduck.
SATA, I usually say as Sat-uh, but sometimes I say Serial A.T.A.
.gif is g.i.f. like gift without a T.
SQL is S.Q.L.
SCSI, S.C.S.I.
and LOL I always say as one word, like a lull, but with an O.
