    Mobile Broadband

I've always had a 3 mobile broadband dongle for when I'm out and about, work and what not and then use my home broadband when at home (makes sense). Where I live the local council has the monopoly on the telephone lines so we get no choice but to use their broadband service which is not the greatest. I get around 3Mbps download, which is about the same as I got with my 3 mobile broadband dongle and I had often thought about getting rid of it totally and just using the dongle.
Anyway my contract was almost up with three so I gave them a call see what was on offer and they upgraded me to their new premium dongle - Huawei Premium dongle - Discover - Three (For a new contract of course) anyway it arrived this morning so I installed the new drivers and stuck it in and ran a quick speed test.
To my amazement the thing is lightening fast compared to the previous version (test below) and also much faster than my home broadband which is slow and expensive. Looks like they will be getting a cancellation notice in the next few weeks and I will go totally mobile.
The mobile broadband network has become vastly improved and I can see more people jumping on board especially where I live which will eventually cripple the council and force them to open up the exchanges to other companies.

That sounds good. I also have a 3 mobile dongle for when I'm out and about and get between 3 and 7 Mb/sec. The main problem with it is the monthly download limit of 5GB.

Yer I'm on their top plan which is 15gig. Not sure that will get me through each month.

I average around 25GB per month which would cost me a fortune on mobile. I use Virgin Media cable at home.
