I think people really need to cool off about Windows 8.

I've been reading some articles about Windows 8 and there's people that are freaking out about the interface change and how it's awful and the touchscreen interface is a disgrace. Keep in mind, that's the Start Screen. Microsoft isn't killing an interface that made them successful for the sake of tablets.

There isn't a Start Menu anymore, it's a Start Screen and it's replacing the menu.
That actually sounds kinda cool. I have a nice touchscreen laptop, so this sounds like a more natural UI for it. I'm always up for trying something new anyway. When I first saw Windows 7, I thought wow the new taskbar !@#$ing sucks! Then I tried it and ended up really liking it.

Yeah, and it annoyed me when people weren't supposed to touch the monitor. How annoying will it be when they are supposed to touch it.

Of course it's also a great way to sell a ton of touch screen monitors as well.

Latest rumor is that MS will follow Mozilla and Windows 8 and all future releases will be "Windows Latest" so they won't have any conflicts with version numbers and as soon as the "Latest" version is released they will stop support for all previous releases. It will make it a lot easier on us as we can just have one forum "Windows Latest"

Well Mac has resorted to suing and having banned anything using the android platform, they already had the new galaxy banned in europe.
FOSS Patents: Apple sues Samsung over Android-based devices -- Samsung virtually certain to retaliate

I personally looked over the patents in question and don't get it.
Basically they are claiming rights to all touchscreen interfaces at this point.
...this is the basic reason I don't support Mac.

They're shotting themselves in the foot here though being as how samsung actually manufactures a good percentage of their hardware.

Well im not sure if you Heard but the makers of android just Bought Motorolla and there 17 million odd patents Apple isn't going to be sueing anyone

    Touch is so yesteryear.

You want a kinect to track your eye movements to move the mouse. Blink once to single click, twice to double click. To drag and drop, close left eye and move your right eye. To hibernate, close both eyes and open mouth for 5s. To shutdown, let head fall to table. Patent pending.

Win8 accessory: Magical eye lotion, $30 per bottle.
