IBM unveils chips that mimic the human brain Quote: has unveiled a new experimental computer chip that it says mimics the human brain in that it perceives, acts and even thinks.
It terms the machines built with these chips "cognitive computers", claiming that they are able to learn through experience, find patterns, generate ideas and understand the outcomes. More... | My System Specs |

Oh wow, I read a while back that some research team in England is going to use a junkload of ARM processors that the theory is that the ARM processors can use less amount of "synapses" than the human brain to process the same amount of information.
Damn, all this time, I've been underusing my brain. I could had ruled the world...or I could just use a junkload of ARM processors to do that. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number ASUS OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU AMD Athlon 240 II @ 2.8-4.004 ghz Motherboard M4A78LT-M LE Memory SuperTalent 4gb DDR3 Graphics Card ATI Radeon 3000HD Screen Resolution 1440*900 Case Re-modded Dell Dimension 4550 Cooling Vantec 92mm Tornado x2 Other Info It looks pretty. |
