What can go wrong with PHP?

    Hi guys,

I have recently started to learn PHP and I am on the part "files in PHP"

Now, everything has been going on just fine, I am still alive, but just on thing bothers me. I read in Tizag that lots of things can go wrong if you mess up with a file you would make with PHP, like
    Quote:
Common errors include editing the wrong file, filling a hard-drive with garbage data, and accidentally deleting a file's contents.

What means a hard-drive with garbage data, and what is the worst thing that can happen to me if I really mess up a file with PHP?

Please tell me, because I am getting much afraid I might destroy my parents' computer!

    Thank you!
    Best Regards
    Stefany

Run Linux in a VM with LAMP. Then experiment away worry free. As long as you don't do anything really stupid (i.e. executing delete file commands on system32) you should be fine. At least, that's been my experience with PHP. If you want to do it Windows, just use WAMP. It makes life far easier than installing Apache, PHP, and MySQL separately.
