Tv stand "Glass or wood" What do you prefer?

I would like to know what people prefer and also there opinion.

Personally i prefer a good strong wooden tv stand, they are more sturdy and less dangerous. For example, an adult or kid could easily fall and break the glass and get cut or worse, i am sure people have probably been under the influence and had a few accidents.

Wood is great. I like the look of glass, but prefer the wood effect lol.

Wood, ofcource. Had some incidents with glass furniture in the past, and like you suggested it was under influence

My friend R.I.P, fell head first through a glass table whilst he was drunk and when he got up a bit of skin was hanging of his forehead lol. He was a really funny guy.

Look of glass - strength of wood.

Depends on the units quality really. There are some 'wood' stands out there I wouldn't trust to hold a small TV, let alone a big one. Conversely there are some fantastic glass stands, but they can be extra $$$ over their wood counterparts.

Glass coffee tables, as mentioned above, are more prone to hazards.
