    Disturbance in Gulf of Mexico

Need to keep an eye on this one. It may develop into a TS and a big rain maker, but the Gulf waters are very hot so it could get strong very quickly. As you can see by the computer models it could go anywhere.

Apparently a front coming-in to Texas intends to keep it "at bay" and away from our parched-and-scorched earth. Phone Man we'd appreciate any prayers, incantations or voodoo you might know of to send it our way instead of La!

I wish I could send this guy to Texas but looks like we will keep in all in Louisiana. They are predicting 20" of rain between tonight and Sunday and this system may still be around until Tuesday. The latest has the bullseye on the La coast south of Lafayette and then picking up a front and moving North of Baton Rouge and into Mississippi. It is still a big guessing game with this guy and we have TS warnings from the Texas border to the Alabama border. Wife and I were planning on going to New Iberia (south of Lafayette) to burn some meat with her family but it don't look good.

    Lee Update Sat 1AM CST

Looks like Lee will make landfall around 7PM CST tonight around Morgan City, La. Then head through Baton Rouge and NE into Mississippi. The cone is still rather big so this track could change a lot. Hope it speeds up and gets through here quickly. I live North of New Orleans across the lake and we are expecting 8-10" of rain through Monday.
