4 There's already enough 4's - carries added burden of 'expectations'. Conversely, will face more prejudice in other cultures.
What is your current/future living situation? Muslim in the East or Muslim in the West?
Is this for a newborn son or relative?
If your background is Muslim in the West, then the name Adam will be more instantly acceptable. There will be less initial prejudice. ie A printed job resume. Now, and in 20 years, the name Adam would be favoured over Mohammed instantly.
Conversely, an Adam in the East is less beneficial.
I'm from Canada and I am not muslim lol, I happen to have an arabic name and I wanted to know how bad it was compared to others :P
Our son is named Escher - gets ton of positive responses, especially with those who know who M.C. Escher is :)
