I can't speak to the former, since I have never been married, and I don't think that I have ever been in love, although I uncertain about that, one way or the other.
While I know that marriages often turn out badly, I doubt that any of them were initiated without finding some benefits in them.
I don't think there's anything special about 12/21/2012. That's when the Mayan calendar runs out. The scribe probably ran out of ink. :) Or he died and no one else knew the calculations.The movie "2012" was fun to watch though.
The date I really worry about is 13/13/2013. I'll be holding my breath until that's over with...
well, since christ was actually born in 4 or 5 b.c. (the calendar guy got the year wrong), it is actually now 2015 or 2016 a.d., so this is all moot as it's past already.
