T-Mobile is intercepting my data and it's pissing me off

So my DSL went down yesterday and it won't be back up until later today. For the mean time, I decided to tether internet to my laptop using my HTC HD2.

It went fine until this morning were I was slapped with this webpage:

First of all. WTF?!

I get this message when going to any website except t-mobile.com and google.com. Also, I don't get that message when I visit encrypted sites (https), allowing me to bypass that error. Since they can't intercept data they don't understand, it lead me to believe they're "reading" me.

Second, greedy *******s.

I'm already paying a big premium for "Unlimited Data (with a note that says only 2GB of data are high speed)," and when I click the FAQ on that stupid web page they want to charge me an additional $15 just so I can share data to my laptop. WHAT?!

Windows Mobile had the ability to share internet since 2003, FYI. I did that on my O2 XDA II, only back then it can only be done via wire since WiFi was still getting adopted. Not to mention MS Exchange capabilities btw.

Coming from a country were phones aren't locked to a carrier (phones were like PC's where you choose what you want with it), I can't believe they're scamming people to use a feature that's already built in! I'd call them about this but some customer reps are too ignorant about technology (I called them once and the rep wrote me up for "jailbreaking" my phone since I booted Android on it. Well yeah via an emulator. Did I break any of the hardware's firmware? No. Just installed a program).

Sigh.. companies these days.

BTW, if anyone cares, I decided to change the internet server from wap.voicestream.com to internet2.voicestream.com and it solved the problem. Also flushed my DNS and changed my DNS server just in case.
