Wow, does no one read statements from Microsoft anymore? They said in a interview that the DP of Windows 8 had everything turned on and users would not be able to select options during installation n what they want turned on/off until the Beta. IE the new UI is/will optional in the final version and the beta. These reports are useless and scare people like people where scared of Vista. Also I read the report where they got there statements from and they leave out the part that I have mentioned. These reporters should not be alowed to report half statements.

If they listen to public opinion...as they did so successfully with Win7 then the Metro interface will definitely be a switchable feature...
Many are not very enamored with it.

Metro: Last Night - Who's in?
I loved the first Metro so I'm looking forward to this. It's already preloaded for tmw. Can't wait to try this out in surround+tri SLi. I might stand a chance of playing it smoothly lol. Who else is going to playing this at launch?

What should Windows 8 Metro be called now?
No doubt you've seen that the use of 'Metro' is being dropped for the new Windows 8 interface. I read an interesting article on some alternate names, so I thought we might create a little poll to see what would be popular.

HTC and Metro Home Widgets
If anyone's looking for a good weather/clock widget, then might try out the HTC or Metro Home APIs widgets. Seem to work pretty good so far with my testing them out. Lots of options there, and can add extras. (different weather providers, etc) These are Widgets, not Windows sidebar gadgets. ...
